Description

This classic is offered in the form of a Charles & Ray Eames lounge chair + ottoman in the European version.
This is a first-hand armchair from 1977, labelled “Herman Miller”, which has been carefully cleaned, restored and optimized, taking into account the patina and the original condition.
The armchair was completely dismantled for this purpose.
The leather of the seat cushions as well as the armrests was cleaned,
without destroying the beautiful, mature patina of the leather.
The underside and zipper of the stool cushion were replaced with original Vitra material.
Due to the manufacturing process, the wooden shells have a layer of clear varnish on the outside,
which often becomes milky/greyish and matt over the decades and to a certain extent hides the beautiful wood structure.
